Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking a Weekend Kitchen Porter to join the Boreham, Essex kitchen during term-time weekends. Shifts are 11:30–19:30 on Saturdays and 12:00–20:00 on Sundays, with a focus on cleanliness, hygiene, and efficient operation to support chefs.

Qualifications

• Experience as Kitchen Porter or similar hospitality support role is desirable.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, and glassware.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and storage areas.
• Dispose of waste and recyclables per food safety regs.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team.
• Stock and replenish kitchen supplies and equipment.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support kitchen team during service to ensure smooth operations.
• Report equipment faults or maintenance issues promptly.
