Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen, catering, or cleaning role is desirable but not essential
• Ability to work efficiently and remain calm in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong attention to detail with a genuine commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen, including work surfaces, equipment, floors, and storage areas; wash, sanitise, and organise crockery, cutlery, glassware, and cooking utensils efficiently and safely; support the kitchen team by clearing and preparing workstations between service periods
• Dispose of waste responsibly and maintain organised refuse areas in compliance with health and safety regulations; assist with stock rotation and basic food storage procedures, ensuring items are stored correctly; operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and cleaning machinery with care and attention
• Respond promptly to requests from kitchen and service staff, demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative approach; report any maintenance issues, breakages, or hygiene concerns to management immediately; adhere to all food safety and health and safety protocols; contribute to a positive, inclusive kitchen environment through reliable attendance and a supportive attitude
