Job summary

Bolton Hospice is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our weekend Catering team. The role provides operational cover on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 2pm in our hospice kitchen, supporting patients, staff and visitors with high-quality meals and a clean preparation area.

The successful candidate will have catering experience, hold a Level 2 Food Safety certificate or be willing to gain it, and demonstrate teamwork, empathy and flexibility within a compassionate care setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering environments, preferably clinical/care setting.
• Ability to work weekends and unsupervised following hygiene standards.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with empathetic approach.

Responsibilities

• Work unsupervised in line with hygiene regulations.
• Contribute to preparation and service of meals.
• Maintain cleanliness of food prep areas and equipment.
• Support patients, staff and visitors with high standards of catering.
