Job summary

Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our Catering Team. You will serve customers, take drink orders, assist with basic food prep such as sandwiches, salads and cakes, and ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen. A food hygiene level 1 certificate is desirable, but full training will be provided.

You will work in a supportive, caring environment on site at Willen Lake, with benefits including generous leave, pension and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or front-of-house roles.
• Willingness to assist with basic food preparation tasks including sandwiches, salads and cakes.
• Flexible and can-do approach; good team player.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers and take hot and cold drinks orders.
• Assist in basic food preparation tasks (sandwiches, salads, fresh cakes).
• Clear and wash kitchen utensils; load/unload dishwasher as required.
• Take payments for food and maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness.
