Job summary

ICare Group is looking for Weekend Home Care Assistants to support people in Helsby (WA6) and Runcorn (WA7/WA8) during busy weekend periods. If you’re caring, reliable and want to help others live independently at home, this role could be for you.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are preferred. You’ll receive training and ongoing support, travel between clients, and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Be available to work Thursday-Sunday shifts
• Be able to travel throughout the Helsby and Runcorn areas
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle (preferred)
• Have a valid right to work in the UK
• Previous care experience welcome but not essential; full training provided

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care with dignity, respect and compassion
• Supporting with washing, dressing and daily routines
• Assisting with meal preparation and nutrition
• Providing medication prompts and support in line with care plans
• Carrying out wellbeing and safety checks
• Supporting with light household tasks and maintaining a comfortable home environment
• Offering companionship and emotional support
• Building positive and professional relationships with the people you support
• Promoting independence, choice and person-centred care
• Travelling between clients' homes across the local community
