Job summary

ICare Group is hiring a Weekend Home Care Assistant to support residents in their own homes across Helsby (WA6) and Runcorn (WA7/WA8). You will help people maintain independence, dignity and quality of life, with training and a strong team behind you.

Roles are weekend-focused (Thu–Sun) with a driving element and mileage paid between visits. A welcoming bonus, ongoing development, and travel support are provided to help you succeed.

Important Information Before You Apply

To be considered for this position, you must:

• Be available to work Thursday-Sunday shifts
• Be able to travel throughout the Helsby and Runcorn areas
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle (preferred)
• Meal preparation and nutrition
• Providing medication prompts and support in line with care plans
• Carrying out wellbeing and safety checks
• Supporting with light household tasks and maintaining a comfortable home environment
• Offering companionship and emotional support
• Building positive and professional relationships with the people you support
• Promoting independence, choice and person-centred care
• Working as part of a supportive and dedicated care team
• Travelling between clients' homes across the local community
