Job summary

Gressingham Foods is seeking a Weekend Farm Worker to support the day-to-day running of the farm, focusing on duck welfare and biosecurity. The role involves weekend shifts with 10 hours per week, delivering essential on-site tasks from 6am to 11am on Saturdays and Sundays.

The successful candidate will work under the Farm Manager, ensuring accurate record keeping and adherence to safety standards, with transport being essential due to the remote location.

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve high welfare standards for ducks on site.
Assist with achieving target growth and efficiency in operations.
Adhere to high health and safety standards on the farm.
Collaborate with Farm Manager to keep accurate records.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the site manager.
Support health and welfare of ducks and biosecurity measures.
Perform any other poultry farming tasks as required.

Job description

Job Title: Weekend Farm Worker

Reporting to: Farm Manager

Overall aim of the Job: To carry out all tasks required in the day to day running, whilst maintaining the highest level of bird welfare standards and bio security.

Key Tasks Within The Job

To maintain and improve the high a welfare standards as possible.
To assist with achieving target growth rates, as efficiently as possible.
To work to a high health and safety standard.
Work with the Manager producing records required in order to provide accurate, up-to-date information.
Monitor stock control of farm supplies and report any shortage of supplies to the site manager.
Working with the Manager to maintain the health and welfare of the ducks on site.
To carry out any other tasks relating to poultry farming as the company may reasonably require.
To maintain and improve where possible the health & hygiene standards.
