Job summary

Gressingham Foods is seeking a Weekend Farm Worker to support duck welfare and farm operations at our site in Hinderclay. You will join the Farm Manager to carry out day-to-day tasks, maintain welfare and biosecurity standards, and help record keeping for stock and supplies.

The role is permanent and part-time, working Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 to 11:00, totaling 10 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £16.94. Own transport is essential due to the remote location.

Qualifications

Maintain high welfare standards and biosecurity.
Assist with achieving target growth rates efficiently.
Work to a high health and safety standard.
Produce records with the Manager for up-to-date information.
Monitor stock control of farm supplies.

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve animal welfare and hygiene standards.
Assist with achieving target growth rates in the flock.
Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Collaborate with the Manager to maintain accurate records.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the site manager.
Support with poultry health and welfare on site.
Carry out other poultry farming tasks as required.

Job Title: Weekend Farm Worker

Reporting to: Farm Manager

Overall aim of the Job: To carry out all tasks required in the day to day running, whilst maintaining the highest level of bird welfare standards and bio security.

Key Tasks Within The Job

To maintain and improve the high a welfare standards as possible.
To assist with achieving target growth rates, as efficiently as possible.
To work to a high health and safety standard.
Work with the Manager producing records required in order to provide accurate, up-to-date information.
Monitor stock control of farm supplies and report any shortage of supplies to the site manager.
Working with the Manager to maintain the health and welfare of the ducks on site.
To carry out any other tasks relating to poultry farming as the company may reasonably require.
To maintain and improve where possible the health & hygiene standards.
