Job summary

Sodexo in Eccles, Salford, is seeking a Weekend Cleaner to help keep a site clean, safe and welcoming. The role offers consistent weekend hours with a friendly, supportive team and opportunities to contribute to high cleanliness standards across facilities.

You will perform cleaning tasks, maintain supplies, and adhere to safety procedures while supporting other areas as required. Prior experience and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or facilities roles, preferably corporate offices.
• Clear and professional communication, both spoken and written.
• Reliable, proactive, able to work independently while supporting the team.
• Understanding of data protection and security requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and consistent high standards.
• Willingness to complete required training including first aid and BPSS checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled cleaning tasks across kitchens, meeting rooms, offices and toilets.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.
• Keep supplies topped up (toilet rolls, soap, sanitiser, wipes).
• Follow health and safety procedures including COSHH and PPE usage.
• Report hazards or faulty equipment to the Line Manager.
• Provide cover for holidays and absorption of other duties as needed.

Are you looking for a part-time weekend role that fits around your other commitments? Join our friendly team in Eccles as a Weekend Cleaner and help us keep our site clean, safe and welcoming.

You’ll play an important role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site, working as part of a supportive team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and is looking for consistent weekend hours.

What you’ll do:

• Keep our site looking its best by completing scheduled cleaning tasks across kitchens, meeting rooms, offices, toilets and other areas.
• Take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the site.
• Keep essential supplies topped up, including toilet roll, blue roll, hand soap, sanitiser and hand wipes.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including COSHH, infection control, security requirements and the correct use of PPE.
• Work safely and responsibly, reporting any hazards, safety concerns, faulty equipment or other issues to your Line Manager.
• Have a flexible approach to your role, supporting other areas of the site and providing cover for holidays and absence when required.

What you bring:

• Previous experience in a similar cleaning or facilities role, ideally within a corporate office environment.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
• A reliable and proactive approach, with the confidence to work independently while also being a supportive team member.
• Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and working in line with relevant data protection and security requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards at all times.
• Willingness to complete any training required for the role, including first aid and security awareness, and to successfully complete the required BPSS security checks.
