Job summary

Sodexo in Manchester is seeking a friendly part-time Cleaner to join a busy site. You'll help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment by carrying out daily cleaning tasks across kitchens, meeting rooms, offices and toilets.

You should take pride in your work, pay attention to detail, follow COSHH and PPE rules, and be flexible to cover holidays. Training including first aid and security checks may be provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or facilities roles is preferred.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Reliable and proactive approach with ability to work independently.
• Understanding of confidentiality and data security requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Willingness to undertake training including BPSS security checks.

Responsibilities

• Clean areas across kitchens, meeting rooms, offices, toilets and other spaces.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.
• Top up essential supplies (toilet roll, soap, sanitiser, wipes).
• Follow health and safety procedures, COSHH, infection control and PPE guidelines.
• Work safely, report hazards or faulty equipment to Line Manager.
• Be flexible to support other site areas and cover holidays/absences.

You’ll play an important role inmaintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site, working as part of asupportive team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride intheir work, has a great eye for detail and is looking for a reliable part-timerole.

What you’ll do:

• Keep our site looking its best by completing scheduled cleaning tasks across kitchens, meeting rooms, offices, toilets and other areas.
• Take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the site.
• Keep essential supplies topped up, including toilet roll, blue roll, hand soap, sanitiser and hand wipes.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including COSHH, infection control, security requirements and the correct use of PPE.
• Work safely and responsibly, reporting any hazards, safety concerns, faulty equipment or other issues to your Line Manager.
• Have a flexible approach to your role, supporting other areas of the site and providing cover for holidays and absence when required.

What you bring:

• Previous experience in a similar cleaning or facilities role, ideally within a corporate office environment.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
• A reliable and proactive approach, with the confidence to work independently while also being a supportive team member.
• Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and working in line with relevant data protection and security requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards at all times.
• Willingness to complete any training required for the role, including first aid and security awareness, and to successfully complete the required BPSS security checks.
