Job summary

Gilmerton Care Home in Edinburgh is hiring a Care Assistant to join a friendly, supportive team. This role covers days and nights, weekends on a 22-hour week, with a competitive hourly rate of £13.60. PVG/DBS, pension and uniform are provided to help you settle in.

You will assist residents with daily routines, personal care and mobility, while promoting dignity and wellbeing. We value compassionate, respectful care and offer training and career development within a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in care is beneficial but not essential.
• NVQ/SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is advantageous.
• Ability to work as part of a supportive team and learn on the job.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• 22 hours per week - Saturday & Sunday
• Dayshift and nightshift available
• Paid PVG/DBS, pension and uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
