Job summary

Alor Healthcare is seeking a Care Home Assistant Practitioner for Gilmerton Care Home in Edinburgh. The role works closely with Nurses and the wider care team to provide enhanced support, ensuring residents’ wellbeing and safety while delivering high-quality care.

You will take on additional responsibilities beyond day-to-day care, supporting care planning, monitoring wellbeing, and ensuring individual needs are met with compassion and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a care environment is essential.
• SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Confident supporting residents with more complex care needs.
• Good communication skills and ability to work closely with Nurses and the wider team.
• Compassionate, professional and reliable approach with strong attention to detail.
• Genuine passion for delivering high quality care and supporting resident wellbeing.

Care Home Assistant Practitioner Contract

• £14.50 per hour
• 38.5 hours per week
• Shift Times - 7:45AM -8PM
• 1 hours unpaid break
• Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
