Artis Recruitment in Bristol is seeking a Web Engineering Manager to lead the development of a key customer-facing platform. The role blends hands-on engineering with people leadership, shaping architecture, APIs and cloud strategy while guiding a growing team.

You will mentor engineers, drive CI/CD, ensure performance and security, manage external partners, and collaborate with stakeholders across the business in a hybrid Bristol-based environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong JS/TS, Node.js and React/Next.js knowledge.
• Experience with APIs, web architectures and AWS.
• Background in architectural design and complex web platforms.
• Experience with code reviews, engineering standards and CI/CD.

• Experience with headless architecture and multi-brand platforms is advantageous.

Web Engineering Manager

Bristol | Hybrid - 2 days onsite | £80,000–£95,000 + 10% bonus + excellent benefits

I'm working with an established professional services organisation in Bristol looking to appoint a Web Engineering Manager to lead the development and evolution of a key customer-facing digital platform.

This is a technical leadership role combining approximately 60% team management and technical leadership with 40% hands-on engineering. You'll lead and develop the engineering team while remaining actively involved in architecture, solution design, code reviews and technical problem-solving.

The Role

Experience with headless architecture, multi-brand platforms and AI-assisted development tools would be advantageous.
