Job summary

Serco is hiring WCA Functional Assessors in Watford to assess how health conditions affect work ability. The role involves structured assessments, history gathering and evidence-based reporting, with training provided.

Hybrid working, a fixed day schedule, and both full‑time and part‑time options are available. Salary starts at £50,000 and rises to £51,000 after 12 months; Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with fully paid training and a supportive clinical team.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist.
• Fully registered with the NMC or HCPC, with active registration.
• At least 12 months post‑registration clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured assessments of individuals with varied health conditions.
• Gather detailed medical and functional histories.
• Explore how health conditions affect daily activities and work ability.
• Review medical evidence and apply clinical reasoning to reports.
• Produce clear, evidence‑based assessment reports.
• Use professional judgement to provide objective recommendations.
