Job summary

Morepeople is seeking a dedicated Wayleave Officer to join our expanding infrastructure team. You will manage land access and wayleave agreements across major projects in Oxford and Hungerford, coordinating with landowners, occupiers and contractors to keep work on schedule.

The role focuses on land-focused responsibilities, requiring strong negotiation, meticulous record-keeping and travel across the region. A full UK driving licence is preferred and prior experience in land liaison is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience in wayleaves, land management, or agricultural liaison.
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Understanding of agricultural and rural affairs.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating wayleave, land access and landowner agreements.
• Acting as a key contact for landowners and occupiers.
• Liaising with contractors to ensure notices and access requirements are followed.
• Supporting negotiations and resolving landowner queries and issues.
• Advising on access, fencing, water supplies and accommodation works.
• Monitoring contractor activity and ensuring land requirements are adhered to.
• Maintaining records and updating the project team on land matters.
