Job summary
Galliford Try is seeking an Electrician to join our environment-focused team in Plymouth. You will be responsible for electrical installation and maintenance across water treatment, wastewater facilities, pumping stations and related process plant.
The role requires industrial electrical experience, knowledge of 18th edition, and ability to read drawings. On-call work and site-based duties are expected as part of a dynamic, multi-site contractor environment.
Qualifications
- Industrial electrical installation or maintenance background.
- ONC / NVQ / City & Guilds qualification.
- Experience in water and wastewater industries.
- 18th Edition wiring regulations.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
- ECS, SSSTS, Confined Space, and EUSR training support.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical systems to required standards and timescales.
- Ensure health & safety for self and others on site.
- Complete site documentation and mark as-built drawings.
- Support on-site drawings and issued-for-construction updates.
- Identify changes and communicate with site management.
- Respond to emergency call-outs and perform fault diagnostics.
