Job summary
Affinity Water is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician to keep water treatment works, booster sites, reservoirs and towers running smoothly. You will diagnose faults, perform routine maintenance and calibrations, and work with the production team to ensure reliable operations.
The role involves PLC diagnostics, interpretation of electrical drawings, and adherence to water quality and health & safety standards.
Qualifications
- City and Guilds Electrical Installation Level 3 or equivalent.
- Proven maintenance engineering experience.
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of PLCs, motors, control systems, and reading electrical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical & mechanical fault-finding, repairs, and maintenance on critical water treatment infrastructure.
- Interrogate PLC systems and work on complex treatment processes.
- Conduct planned and preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and improve efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure compliance with water quality and health & safety regulations.
