Job summary

Environment Agency is seeking a Water Training, Skills and Resilience Officer G4 to help shape a skilled and resilient water workforce. You will support a new skills and development programme, review current training opportunities, and coordinate learning sessions with subject matter experts.

You will work with the Training & Skills Manager to deliver upskilling for water staff, contribute to workforce planning, and help implement continuous improvements across learning initiatives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a passion for learning and development with creative training delivery.
• Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills to juggle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Learning Month with department-wide training sessions.
• Organise speakers for the Water Information & Development Programme.
• Support delivery of workshops and face-to-face training sessions.
• Collect feedback, analyse results, and implement improvements.
• Maintain relationships across departments and ensure high training standards.
• Promote CPD culture and coordinate team communications.
• Assist with outreach, workforce planning and recruitment initiatives.
