Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support AMP8 water works across Cumbria, starting January 2027. You will lead delivery from early contractor involvement through to construction, commissioning and handover.

The role emphasises reinforced concrete, shaft sinking and NEC4 delivery within United Utilities projects, with duties including cost control, stakeholder liaison, and team leadership across a busy Cumbria programme.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering AMP8 or similar regulated utility projects.
• Proven ability to manage design through to handover and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete works, shaft sinking and civil engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple AMP8 water sector projects from design/ECI to commissioning.
• Define scopes, requirements and deliverable project plans.
• Oversee reinforced concrete works and shaft sinking.
• Ensure NEC4 contract compliance and change management.
• Control costs, forecast expenditure and monitor project performance.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators and local communities.
