Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to lead delivery of a major AMP8 water programme across the United Utilities region, overseeing projects from design and construction through commissioning and handover. Our client is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of a major AMP8 water programme across the United Utilities region. This permanent role will oversee complex water and wastewater projects, from design and construction through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the safe, high-quality delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects across the AMP8 programme
• Manage programme performance across cost, schedule, margin, cash flow and commercial objectives
• Ensure projects meet regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with United Utilities, design organisations and other stakeholders
• Drive programme growth and support the development of future framework opportunities
• Lead, support and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary delivery team
• Manage key supply chain partners and promote effective contractual and commercial performance
• Champion innovation, modern methods of construction, sustainable solutions and improved delivery processes

Job Requirements

• Significant experience working for a contractor on a mix of water and wastewater projects
• Strong programme or major project leadership experience within the water infrastructure sector
• Excellent commercial, contractual and risk management capabilities
• Experience managing client relationships and engaging effectively with design organisations and supply chain partners
• Broad understanding of civil, mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines
• Knowledge of advanced treatment processes
• Relevant project management accreditation
