Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of a major AMP8 water programme across the United Utilities region. The role covers design, construction, commissioning and handover, with accountability for safety, quality and performance.

You will direct a multidisciplinary team, manage commercial objectives and key supply chain partners, and build strong client relationships with United Utilities and design groups to drive innovation and future framework opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with a contractor on water and wastewater projects.
• Leadership of large programmes or major projects in water infrastructure.
• Strong commercial, contractual and risk management capabilities.
• Experience managing client relationships and engaging with design organisations and supply chain partners.
• Broad understanding of civil, mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines.
• Knowledge of advanced treatment processes.
• Relevant project management accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, high-quality delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects across the AMP8 programme.
• Manage programme performance across cost, schedule, margin, cash flow and commercial objectives.
• Ensure projects meet regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with United Utilities, design organisations and stakeholders.
• Drive programme growth and support future framework opportunities.
• Lead and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary delivery team.
• Manage key supply chain partners and promote effective contractual and commercial performance.
• Champion innovation, modern methods of construction and sustainable delivery.
