Job summary

STRABAG UK is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function for our Water Sector team within Infrastructure. The role focuses on growing our presence in UK water and wastewater markets and delivering major projects with commercial excellence.

You will oversee cost control, risk, and change across preconstruction to completion, collaborating with Project Managers, Directors, and procurement teams, while developing the team and maturing reporting and governance.

Qualifications

• MRICS status or equivalent is required.
• Proven experience in a commercial role within the Construction Industry.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Water sector experience preferred and beneficial.
• Chartered Quantity Surveyor with APC/mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of the portfolio and liaise with stakeholders.
• Oversee recruitment and staffing for direct reports.
• Develop objectives and monitor performance across the team.
• Lead on contract administration, risk management and financial control for projects.
• Collate cost/value reports and forecasts and implement action plans.
• Support business development, client engagements and tender activities.
• Assist in JV development and procurement as required.
