Job summary

Arcadis, the world-leading design, engineering and consultancy firm, is seeking a Water Resources Consultant in the United Kingdom. You will contribute to water resources, hydrology and environmental studies within our Climate Adaptation team, supporting data analysis, reporting and technical delivery.

You will work alongside experienced professionals, developing skills in water balance assessment, climate resilience, and sustainable water management while delivering high-quality client outputs

Qualifications

• Degree in Water Resources, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geography or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Understanding of water resources, hydrology, water management or environmental assessment principles.
• Experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to use or develop GIS outputs and spatial information with training if needed.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of water resources, hydrology, water balance and integrated water management projects.
• Assist with preparation of water balance assessments, water resource studies and technical reports.
• Analyse hydrological, meteorological, environmental and water demand data for project delivery.
• Contribute to Water Cycle Studies, WINEP investigations and AMP planning as required.
• Produce GIS mapping, data visualisations and figures for reports and client presentations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across flood risk, hydrology and environmental management.
