Job summary

Arcadis is delivering sustainable design, engineering and consultancy for water resources projects in the UK. As a Water Resources Consultant, you will support the delivery of water resources, hydrology and environmental studies, contributing to technical analysis and client reports.

You will develop skills in water balance assessment, climate resilience and integrated water management, with on-the-job learning, mentoring and professional development within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Water Resources, Civil/Environmental Eng, Geography, or related field.
• Understanding of water resources, hydrology, and environmental assessment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to use GIS outputs and interpret spatial data.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of water resources, hydrology, water balance and integrated water management projects.
• Assist with water balance assessments, water resource studies and technical reports.
• Analyse datasets to support project delivery across multiple disciplines.
• Contribute to Water Cycle Studies, WFD assessments, low-flow and environmental assessments.
• Support WINEP investigations and AMP planning as required.
• Develop nature-based solutions and sustainable water management strategies.
• Assist with abstraction licences, permits and regulatory submissions.
• Prepare bids, capability statements and technical submissions with senior support.
• Produce GIS maps, data visualisations and figures for reports and client presentations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across flood risk, hydrology and planning.
• Foster relationships with clients, regulators and stakeholders.
• Support project management activities and quality assurance.
