Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Water Management Consultant to join the Climate Adaptation team in the UK. You will lead water resource assessments, water balance studies and integration with Water Cycle Studies, while mentoring junior staff and supporting bids and client engagements.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, regulatory input, and delivering innovative, nature-based water management strategies across projects for water companies and authorities.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience delivering water resource and water environment projects in the UK.
• Understanding of water resource assessment methodologies and integrated water management.
• Experience leading technical tasks with project management support.
• Strong ability to write and present technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on water resource and integrated water management projects.
• Undertake water resource assessments, water balance studies and availability investigations.
• Lead technical delivery of abstraction licences and water environment permitting.
• Support Water Cycle Studies and Water Resource Management Plans.
• Mentor junior team members and ensure QA of reports and calculations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver solutions.
