Job summary

Severn Trent is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure public health through planned and unplanned water sampling at customer properties, responding to issues, and escalating where needed. You will start from home, travel to sites, and drop samples at your designated base; the role operates over weekends with standby and 07:00–15:00 shifts, based at Church Wilne Labs, Long Eaton.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform dynamic risk assessments and implement controls to ensure safe work.
• Current UK driving licence with willingness to travel for site visits.
• Experience working in outdoor environments; strong communication skills; comfortable with lone working.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking on-site analysis and sampling of drinking water using aseptic techniques.
• Assess environmental factors affecting sample representativeness and establish corrective actions.
• Complete on-site assessments of internal plumbing to identify filters/softeners and factors affecting samples; make onsite decisions.
