Job summary

Severn Trent Plc is seeking a Quality Technician based in Long Eaton to conduct on-site water sampling and quality checks. You will ensure public health by carrying out planned and unplanned sampling at customer properties, while providing excellent customer service and coordinating with other departments to resolve issues.

The role requires awareness of environmental factors affecting sample quality, COSHH training, and adherence to ISO17025 standards, with weekend work and standby rotating as

Qualifications

• Must have a current UK driving licence and be willing to travel.
• COSHH training to prevent or reduce exposure to hazardous substances.
• Experience working outdoors in variable weather and lone-working capability.
• Familiarity with ISO17025 quality standards and meticulous record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking on-site analysis and sampling of drinking water and related samples using aseptic techniques.
• Responding to customer issues and coordinating with other teams to resolve water quality problems.
• Complete on-site assessments of plumbing to identify factors affecting samples and make on-site decisions.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory and company standards.
