Job summary

Severn Trent Plc is seeking a Quality Technician to join the Water Quality and Environment team. You will carry out planned and unplanned water sampling at customer properties to uphold water quality standards, respond to issues, and navigate internal departments to resolve problems.

You will work from home to start and then service routes from a designated base with weekend and standby duties. The role requires attention to detail, COSHH awareness, a UK driving licence, and comfort with outdoor

Qualifications

• Ability to complete dynamic risk assessments to enable safe work
• Excellent communication skills for customer and team interactions
• Comfortable with lone working and outdoor environments

Responsibilities

• Undertake on-site analysis and sampling of drinking water and related samples using aseptic techniques
• Complete on-site assessments of plumbing to identify factors affecting samples; make on-site decisions
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and company standards at all times
• Record keeping and quality control in line with ISO17025 requirements
