Job summary

Affinity Water is recruiting a Sampling Technician in Staines to safeguard water quality by performing field sampling and office coordination. You will collect samples under strict quality controls and maintain documentation, while planning schedules and handling customer queries.

You will be trained by a Sampling Team Leader and participate in safety courses, with weekend standby and rota requirements as part of the role.

Qualifications

• UK Driving Licence is required.
• A-levels or above in a scientific discipline or relevant experience.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect water samples at Affinity Water sites and customer premises.
• Plan sampling schedules and coordinate fieldwork and office tasks.
• Input sampling data using IT tools and apps.
• Support health and safety and quality procedures (ISO/17025).
• Manage customer queries and weekend/standby rotas as needed.
• Attend training and development sessions led by the team.
