Job summary

South East Water is looking for a Laboratory Services Analyst to support the core Water Quality team. You will process samples, log data in the LIMS, and handle customer bottle requests as the front-of-house contact for commercial customers.

The role requires an A-level or equivalent, a scientific background, and experience in a laboratory or admin setting. Strong numeracy, literacy and IT skills, plus excellent communication and time management, will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Educated to A-level or equivalent; undergraduate degree desirable.
• Good numeracy, literacy and computer skills.
• Scientific background.
• Previous laboratory or administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Processing all samples and deliveries arriving at the laboratory on time.
• Ensuring data is accurately entered into the Laboratory Information Management System.
• Completing customer bottle requests and maintaining reusable items.
• Communicating quality/technical issues with senior staff and Water Quality/Commercial teams.
• Maintaining front-of-house contact with commercial customers and SEW employees.
• Suggesting method/process improvements to boost efficiency, flexibility and quality.
• Upholding good laboratory practice and housekeeping.
