Job summary

South East Water Limited is seeking a Laboratory Services Analyst to support the Water Quality team. You will process samples, input data into LIMS, and coordinate front‑of‑house service for commercial customers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, strong numeracy, literacy and IT skills, with prior lab or admin experience beneficial. A‑level education is required, an undergraduate degree is a bonus, and water laboratory experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Educated to A-level or equivalent standard.
• An undergraduate degree in a relevant subject is desirable.
• Good numeracy, literacy and computer skills.
• A scientific background.
• Previous laboratory or administrative experience.
• Good time management, communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Process all samples and deliveries in a timely manner.
• Enter data accurately into the Laboratory Information Management System.
• Handle customer bottle requests and manage reusable items.
• Communicate quality/technical issues with senior staff and departments.
• Maintain front‑of‑house contact with commercial customers and SEW employees.
• Suggest improvements to methods and processes to boost efficiency and quality.
• Maintain good laboratory practice and housekeeping.
