Job summary

South Staffordshire Water is seeking a Water Quality Customer Sampler to join our field-based team. This lone-working role involves collecting and analysing samples across our network and customer properties to help ensure safe and high-quality water.

You will register results in the laboratory system and maintain quality records, following strict procedures. A full, valid UK driving licence is required; GCSEs or equivalent are desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow strict processes.
• Proactive approach to lone working.
• Ability to use computer-based systems for recording and managing data.
• Full, valid UK driving licence (company vehicle provided).

Responsibilities

• Collect water samples from treatment works, reservoirs, and customer properties.
• Carry out on-site chlorine testing.
• Register samples into the laboratory system.
• Accurately record results and complete quality control checks.
• Follow strict quality procedures and record-keeping standards.
