Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Process Engineer to join its Water Team across the North and Midlands offices, with a flexible hybrid working model. You will design and deliver water and wastewater projects, perform key hydraulic analyses, and contribute to safety reviews and technical reports.

The role involves collaborating with civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineers to meet project goals across multiple clients in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in the design of water and wastewater engineering deliverables.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and communicate across disciplines.
• Experience in consultancy projects within the water sector.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage water and wastewater treatment projects, including site surveys and liaison with clients, contractors and suppliers.
• Perform hydraulic assessments, PFDs and P&IDs, mass/energy balances and headloss calculations.
• Contribute to safety reviews (HAZOP/HAZID) and prepare technical reports and specifications.
• Support all project stages from feasibility to construction design, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with multiple discipline teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions and bid support.

Education

BEng or MEng in related field

Chartered or near Chartered
