Job summary

Southern Water is recruiting a Water Production Controller for the Durrington Office to help keep water flowing for 1.2 million customers across the South East. You will join an evolving Operations Control Centre and work on a 6-week cycle of 12-hour shifts, averaging 28 hours per week, with day and night rotations and standby duties.

Starting salary £29,800 per year, with a 15% shift allowance and a rewards framework that can increase your base pay.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work proactively and use your own initiative.
• Confidence with multiple IT systems and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a continuous supply of safe, high-quality drinking water to 1.2 million customers across a water-stressed region.
• No two days are the same—solve real problems and make a difference every shift.
• Some standby periods and extra cover may be required, discussed during interview.
