Anglian Water Services is seeking a Works Technician Process Controller in Clacton and surrounding areas. This permanent, full-time role covers sites nearby, performing routine maintenance to keep treatment processes running smoothly.

The position is hands-on, outdoors in all weather, with a focus on efficiency, compliance and customer service. A GCSE level education and strong health & safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE level, preferably in English and Mathematics.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Confidence and ability to deal with people at all levels.
• Competency with IT systems.
• Some experience of sewerage design and construction is desirable.
• Strong administration abilities.
• Willingness to be flexible and to get on with internal and external customers at all levels.
• Strong sense of process and health and safety.
• Ability to work quickly, using own initiative and solve problems.
• Full driving license.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance at Water Recycling Centres to ensure sites operate correctly.
• Work hands-on outdoors in all weather, maintaining, monitoring and adjusting treatment processes.
• Visit sites locally to perform duties and ensure compliance and efficiency.

£31,756 per annum - depending on skills and experience + company van + standby allowance

Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours a week , with the opportunity for flexibility

Water Recycling is at the heart of our operations. The key services that we are responsible for are delivered by our in-house, highly-skilled workforce. We collect and treat the water that customers have used, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Our network includes 76,000 kilometres of sewers which feed over 1,000 water recycling centres.

What will you be doing?

You will be one of our Works Technician Process Controllers in Clacton and surrounding areascovering a number of sites local to this region. You will visit our Water Recycling Centres to carry out routine maintenance to ensure the sites operate correctly. This is a "hands on job", working outside in all weathers maintaining, monitoring and adjusting treatment processes. The work is varied, at times challenging, and it is unlikely that any two days will be the same.

Some of the duties will include:

• Ensure site servicing is carried out in order that process run as effectively and efficiently as possible, and that tasks are carried out in their correct sequence such that compliance is always maintained

• Ensure asset care activities (e.g., lubrication schedules) are carried out to required standards

• Implementation of agreed actions on Compliance Action Plans.
