Job summary

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is hiring for a site-based role in Swansea, focusing on operation and maintenance of the underground water network. You will resolve network and leakage issues to maintain water supply and minimise customer disruption.

The role involves liaising with internal teams and partners, following safety procedures and keeping detailed records. The ideal candidate will have a driving licence, English and Maths GCSEs, knowledge of the water industry, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience of providing good customer service
• Experience of working in a team to solve problems
• Full driving licence required
• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualification or experience in a relevant engineering, utilities, environmental, water operations or technical discipline
• Knowledge of the water industry
• Able to communicate well and respond to solve problems
• Able to use GIS and data management systems

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer issues and liaise with internal teams to resolve
• Help achieve leakage targets using detection techniques
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and maintain safety for colleagues and the public
• Manage challenging situations professionally and resolve promptly
• Maintain accurate records in IT systems daily
• Represent Welsh Water through project lifecycles and planning processes
• Organise and prioritise workload with minimal supervision
• Build relationships with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders
• Support continuous improvement of network performance through inspections and investigations
• Undertake other duties to meet business needs
