Severn Trent Plc is recruiting an Infrastructure Services Operative (Ganger) to join our team covering the Reading/Berkshire area. You will be part of a two-man crew installing and maintaining water pipes to high quality and safety standards, travelling daily across your allocated region.

No formal qualifications are required, though knowledge of Health and Safety and risk assessments is helpful. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain water pipes and fittings as per work order and safety standards.
• Work as part of a two-man team to complete tasks to quality and productivity standards.
• Travel daily across the allocated region; start work from home where applicable.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report faults to the line manager.
• Provide high level of customer service and feedback on work performed.
• Support 24-hour standby rota to maintain service provision to customers.
