Severn Trent Services in Reading is recruiting an Infrastructure Services Operative (Ganger) to install and maintain water pipes on customer sites. You will work as part of a two-person team and travel daily within your allocated region.

No formal qualifications are required, but a willingness to learn about water mains servicing, and a full UK driving licence are essential. The role offers training, a focus on health and safety, and the opportunity to contribute to reliable water and waste

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required.
• Basic awareness of Health and Safety practices is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain water pipes and fittings as per work orders and standards.
• Work in a two-person team to complete assigned tasks.
• Maintain a tidy vehicle and report faults to the supervisor.
• Provide high level of customer service and respond to issues promptly.
• Be available for 24-hour reactive standby within the region.
