Job summary

Severn Trent is seeking a Network Construction Operative to deliver mains renewal construction on-site within one region. You will work in a team of 6, performing excavation, installation, testing and commissioning of new mains and assets while maintaining safety and customer service standards.

You should hold a full driving licence and ideally have National Water Hygiene and NRSWA certification, with strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence is required.
• National Water Hygiene and NRSWA are preferred.
• Experience in utility construction is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver large-scale mains renewal construction on-site across a single location with a team of 6.
• Conduct excavation, installation, testing and commissioning of new mains and assets.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance, identify hazards and manage site access and disruption.
• Liaise with customers to provide updates and ensure supply continuity during renewal works.
