Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Ltd partners with a leading organisation to recruit Senior Quantity Surveyors for a major UK water sector investment programme. You will be seconded into Severn Trent, joining a client-side team delivering a large portfolio of capital works across the Midlands.

The role requires strong NEC contracts experience, cost control, and ability to manage commercial risk within infrastructure projects. Hybrid work with 3 days in Derby or Coventry offices is offered.

Qualifications

• NEC3/NEC4 contract experience.
• Experience on infrastructure or capital delivery projects.
• Strong cost management, forecasting and commercial reporting.
• Experience managing change and compensation events.
• Knowledge of procurement, valuations and final accounts.
• Experience within Water, Utilities, Civil Engineering or infrastructure environment.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial and contractual management across projects, supporting delivery teams.
• Cost control, forecasting and budgeting across a portfolio of schemes.
• Assess contractor applications and payment valuations.
• Working closely with Project Managers and delivery teams.
• Manage compensation events and project change.
• Review Defined Cost and support commercial decision making.
• Procurement and tender evaluation activities.
• Identify and manage commercial and contractual risk.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting.
• Support resolution of contractual issues and claims.
• Manage projects through to final account.
• Build relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior commercial team members.
