Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join the D&AT Practice, delivering innovative water and wastewater infrastructure designs. You will lead diverse engineering teams, coordinate technical deliverables, and drive multi-disciplinary design across UK projects.

The role offers hybrid working, collaboration with clients, and opportunities for career progression within a supportive environment. Chartered status or ICE chartership path is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering with chartered status or ability to achieve ICE chartership within 12 months.
• Experience leading engineering design teams in consultancy.
• Knowledge of CDM, Eurocodes, NEC and water industry requirements.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, CDE, MS Office, and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate design teams for water and wastewater projects.
• Oversee production and review of reports, drawings and calculations.
• Drive technical design inputs on multi-disciplinary projects while managing milestones and budgets.
• Collaborate with clients, operations, project managers, and AtkinsRéalis teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge transfer.
