AECOM in Exeter is seeking an Apprentice in Water Engineering to learn on live projects from an experienced engineer. You’ll gain hands-on experience in hydraulic design, water networks and regulatory compliance.

The role includes mentorship, site exposure and the ADVANCE programme, with pathways toward Chartership and ongoing training. Hybrid working and a supportive global firm help you grow professionally.

Qualificações

• Minimum of GCSEs Grade 4/C or above in GCSE English Language and Mathematics (or an equivalent qualification)
• Three A-levels (or equivalent qualifications) at grades ABB, including Mathematics at B and one additional science subject
• International Baccalaureate (IB): a minimum of 32 points, including HL5 in Mathematics and HL5 in another science subject
• BTEC Extended Diploma: subjects include Engineering, Building Services, Civil Engineering or related fields
• Some work experience or shadowing in an engineering environment would be an advantage

Responsabilidades

• Undertake technical and feasibility studies to appraise potable, foul, surface water and attenuation requirements
• Produce designs of water infrastructure such as pump systems and pipe networks
• Produce technical engineering drawings including plans, sections and details
• Undertake numerical analysis using computer-based programmes for potable and wastewater systems
• Keep up to date with regulatory legislation and guidelines affecting design work
• Collaborate with team members on technical work, site work and project management
• Opportunities for site visits to understand how designs are implemented

Formação académica

GCSEs (minimum 4/C) in English Language and Mathematics

Three A-levels ABB including Mathematics and a science subject

IB: 32 points with HL5 in Mathematics and another science

BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering or related subjects
