Proftech Talent is recruiting a proactive Quantity Surveyor for a Manchester-based role in an expanding engineering business. You will work closely with Project Managers and the commercial team to drive cost control and profitability.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in QS within water projects, a QS degree, and a solid grasp of NEC3/NEC4 contracts. Strong numeracy and communication skills are essential for success in this client-focused position.

Qualifikationen

• At least 2 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in water industry.
• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Strong understanding of commercial processes and project cost management.
• Familiarity with NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Prepare, submit and track payment applications.
• Monitor certificates, invoices and payment schedules.
• Raise Early Warning Notices and manage changes/variations.
• Assist with cost estimates, forecasts and cost plans.
• Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
• Monitor project costs, POs and commercial performance.
• Review contracts and support contractual obligations.
• Prepare subcontract documentation and support subcontract management.
• Track commercial progress against programmes.
• Maintain relationships with client and subcontractor commercial teams.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
