Job Description:
Responsibilities
  • Explore water industry assets and waste treatment processes to identify opportunities for time and cost savings.
  • Analyse identified opportunities for feasibility, potential cost and time savings, as well as other benefits such as technological enhancements and carbon reduction.
  • Assess costs, benefits, and risks associated with each opportunity in a detailed manner.
  • Provide recommendations for delivery routes for areas of opportunity.
  • Work closely with client to determine appropriate next steps for each asset based on the analysis, though no guaranteed progression.
  • Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential opportunities, utilising robust analytical frameworks and tools including financial analysis, risk assessment, and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations for the following focus areas: current challenges in water industry assets and waste treatment, design and development opportunities, evaluation of existing products and competitors' solutions, process improvement strategies, enhancements for efficiency, manufacturing opportunities, and developing delivery strategies.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Research a client’s business model, strategy, and capabilities, understand their problems, goals, and strategy.
  • Undertake stakeholder analysis, communication, and engagement through all stages of change.
  • Run workshops for creating detailed business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Manage business analysis work independently, working with client stakeholders to develop insight and trust.
  • Investigate options, provide recommendations, create roadmaps, business cases, and other analysis documents.
  • Ensure solutions are compatible with client’s infrastructure, systems, data, security, and regulatory constraints.
  • Focus on customer value, improving customer journeys.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency, and incorporate these into work.
  • Elicit requirements, create requirement repositories, user story maps, and backlogs.
  • Engage in process modeling and improvement, emphasizing automation.
  • Support development and QA teams with clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Provide supporting documentation for data models, data mapping, and system integration.
  • Assess impacts of changes on business, customers, and other initiatives.
  • Assist in change implementation preparations, including business readiness plans, processes, training, and metrics.
  • Support UAT, model office sessions, and hypercare.
  • Adhere to project governance and reporting requirements.
  • Manage client expectations to ensure delivery.
  • Work with data, data flow, and data mapping.

  • Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams including Operations, Sales, and Client Partners.
  • Identify opportunities for business development.
  • Follow governance for client knowledge sharing, reporting, and learning.
  • Support sales efforts and contribute to bid responses.

Qualifications
  • BCS Business Analysis International Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
