Job summary

Severn Trent is hiring a Water Fittings Technician to protect drinking water supplies by inspecting third-party plumbing systems and promoting best practices. You will schedule inspections and travel across Staffordshire from a home base.

You will need strong IT skills, knowledge of plumbing, and excellent communication. A driving licence is essential. The role is home-based with travel to sites and a 1–6 out-of-hours standby rota.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of plumbing systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with customers/public is advantageous.
• A driving license is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prioritise inspections across the geographical area.
• Carry out proactive and reactive inspections and record findings.
• Travel to premises including public buildings, industrial and commercial sites.
