Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Design Estimator to support the delivery of new water connections and ensure an exceptional customer experience from enquiry to completion. You will work hybrid from Reading, coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders to design, price, and deliver compliant connections while upholding health and safety standards.

The role requires strong customer service, organisation, and problem-solving abilities, with experience in engineering or STEM.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in engineering or STEM; water networks, CDM and HSE knowledge preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.
• Organised with attention to detail; able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage enquiries and resolve issues per regulatory standards.
• Produce accurate designs and quotations for new water connections.
• Respond to customer enquiries and collaborate with internal teams to deliver new connections while safeguarding Thames Water assets.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Deliver high-quality, compliant work that aligns with company processes, regulatory standards, and performance targets.
• Identify and drive improvements in processes to enhance the overall customer journey.
• Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
