Job summary

JN Bentley is seeking enthusiastic Groundworks General Foremen to supervise multiple gangs across civils sites, focusing on water industry projects in the Poole/Bournemouth region. You will support Site Managers and lead safety, method statements, and daily briefings on site.

Ideal candidates have Civil engineering experience within water/hydraulics, CSCS/CPCS/NPORS, and are adept at budgeting, mentoring teams, and overseeing permits to work. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

Experience managing gangs on civils projects within water industry or related sites.
Commitment to health and safety standards on site.
Current UK CSCS, CPCS or NPORS qualification.
SSSTS/SMSTS qualifications.
Full UK driving licence required.
Good IT skills relevant to site operations.

Responsibilities

Supervise several gangs and support Site Managers on civils sites, mainly water industry projects.
Oversee daily site operations, briefings, inductions and progress meetings.
Ensure compliance with permits to work and safety requirements; mentor and develop teams.
