Job summary

JN Bentley Ltd is seeking a Lead Hand / Ganger to lead a groundworks gang in the March, Cambridgeshire area, with work across the region. You will guide a team through civils and water-related sites, focusing on productivity, quality, and health & safety.

The role requires proven gang supervision experience, CSCS/CPCS/NOCN/NPORS with NVQ, and a full UK driving licence. An advantageous set of tickets and training will support progression within this established civil engineering group.

Qualifications

Proven experience managing a gang on civils projects.
Ideally part of a ready-made gang with experienced operatives.
Strong health & safety focus within a reporting culture.
Experience in concrete pours, deep drainage and pipe laying.
Current CSCS, CPCS / NOCN or NPORS with NVQ and relevant plant tickets.
Site Supervisor or Site Management training.
Full UK Driving Licence essential.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a groundworks gang on civils sites, mainly in the water industry.
Maintain high standards of productivity, quality and health & safety.
Coordinate activities with site management and other trades.
