Job summary

JN Bentley Ltd is seeking a Lead Hand / Ganger to lead a groundworks gang based in the Wigan area, with projects across the wider region. Reporting to Site Management, you will drive productivity, quality and HSE on civils works, concrete pours, drainage and pipe laying in the water sector.

The role requires proven gang management, relevant tickets (CSCS/CPCS/NOCN/NPORS), a UK driving licence and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a gang on civils projects.
• Ideally part of a ready-made gang with experienced operatives.
• Strong health & safety focus and reporting culture.
• Experience in concrete pours, deep drainage and pipe laying.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a groundworks gang across sites, mainly in water projects.
• Report to Site Management and maintain productivity, quality and health & safety.
• Drive safe execution and ensure compliance with site procedures.
