Job summary

JN Bentley Ltd is seeking a Lead Hand / Ganger to lead a groundworks gang in the York area, working across the wider region on water civils projects. The role demands a proactive attitude to Health & Safety and experience with concrete pours, deep drainage and pipe laying.

The successful candidate will report to Site Management and drive productivity and quality on construction sites, preferably joining an existing ready-made gang. A strong background in civils is required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a civils groundworks gang.
• Strong health & safety focus with site reporting.
• Experience with concreting, deep drainage and pipe laying.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a groundworks gang across sites, primarily in water civils.
• Ensure high standards of productivity, quality and safety.
• Coordinate with Site Management to meet project targets.
